In order to lose fat (not lose weight) and gain muscle, you need to keep a good eye on your protein. This will enable you to make sure that you have enough protein in order to maintain muscle. It’s not enough that you eat below maintenance, it is important that you have enough protein to not only maintain your muscle, but you need to have enough protein that you can both build muscle as well as maintain the muscle that you currently have. The very last thing that you want to have to deal with is losing muscle and becoming a skinny fat person. So….so….what is a body to do? Well, you need to maintain a high level of protein in your diet. That includes protein bars.
The problem with so many protein bars is that they just taste so bad. They are either too dense, or else they have a nasty synthetic flavor. Now, the big player on the market is Quest. While Quest has some of the best Macros on the market, it’s not the best texture, as even the biggest quest fans will tell you. If you are only concerned about the macros of the bar you are eating, then by all means go ahead and get them, they are really the best protein bars with the best macros. But, for many people who have a bit of a problem eating the dense style, I wanted to provide some alternatives. Namely, protein bars that really taste good. A Quest bar tastes great when you are cutting and they have some really fun flavors such as cookie dough (and white chocolate raspberry) but if you want the best tasting protein bar available, then this is not going to cut it.
This list is going to cover the best tasting protein bars on the market. They all taste amazing and have a great texture. They are going to be a real treat to eat. Not only that, but they won’t kill your macros for the day. They are all going to be able to fit into your scheduled macro. All of them have around the same macro content with a nice focus on protein and some fiber.
Combat Crunch (These are almost too good to be true)
There is no protein bar that comes close. It’s without a doubt the best tasting protein bar on the market. At this point, there is no comparison. It’s basically as good as a candy bar. If this were an episode of Seinfeld or something , one would suspect that they are just wrapping up snickers or some other candy bar and selling it as a protein bar…except this isn’t a sitcom. These protein bars are simply unreal. There have been other protein bars that have a nice taste…but they had to sacrifice the calorie ratio. These don’t. They have an unbelievable maco content. It’s not anything that you’ve ever seen before. If you haven’t tried these you really have to. I don’t normally endorse a product so strongly, but they are simply the best tasting protein bars on the planet. There is nothing that comes close. (AS A NOTE–This endorsement is only for the cookie dough flavor).
ONE Protein Bars:
Ok…so we now get to the ONE Protein Bars. These are one of the coolest bars because they have both an amazing macro content as well as a really cool flavor profile. The glazed doughnut is cool because not only is it something you won’t find in standard protein bars, the texture is really nice. It’s not too chewy. It’s just soft enough to give you a nice texture that’s close to a cake. I picked my favorite—-Glazed and Amused (which is a glazed doughnut flavor) but you should also check out the coconut almond flavor. It’s as close to an Almond Joy as you will find. Really one of the best protein bars you could imagine. Highly endorse this.
FitJoy Protein Bars
These protein bars evoke the flavor of lemon bars, or so i’m told. They are without a doubt a delicious snack. They would totally be something that would sell along side rather expensive items. They are not something that you think is a protein bar…they taste too good. If you are a fan of lemon flavor, then this is the only protein bar that you should set your sights on. It’s without a doubt the most satisfying and tasty lemon bar flavored protein bar ever made. It’s soft, not too chewy, and has the perfect mix of a soft texture as well as a lemony flavor.
